Swiss Clinic Brow Enhancer Serum

At the age of about 17 I went through a terrible phase of plucking my eyebrows to death, mainly because I weirdly enjoyed pulling the hairs out and shaping my brows into ultra thin lines. Fast forward about five years later and suddenly Cara Delevingne is rocking ultra-full brows and, like many, I was wondering what the hell I had done.

I'd debated getting an eyebrow serum for a while but of course the main concern was would they actually work.I came across Swiss Clinic after seeing Lydia Millen's blog posts around the Swiss Clinic derma roller and deciding to try it for myself. So when I knew they did an eyebrow serum too I knew they would have to be the brand I go to.

The Brow Enhancer Serum is said to make eyebrows denser, fuller and healthier in just a few weeks. It contains Redensyl, which targets the stem cells that stimulate hair growth and reduce hair loss.

It claims to increase growth in the eyebrow hair follicles by 75% after just seven days of use and give you fuller brows in 28 days.

The instructions are simple, just brush the serum through your eyebrows using the wand. The instructions state to use it on clean, dry brows and let it dry completely before following with moisturisers etc. It says to use it twice a day (morning and night) for the first 28 days, and then reduce usage to just once a day or as required for the days thereafter.

The packaging itself is very simple, just a plain cardboard box and a silver tube with a wand inside similar to a mascara wand. The process just felt like putting clear mascara through my eyebrows - there was no tingly sensation or pain at all and it didn't make my eyebrows dry up or go clumpy.

Obviously the serum makes very big claims so the big question is did it work?...

After 7 days:

It's pretty hard to tell if the serum is actually making a difference at first or if it is all just psychological. The instructions state to use it for 28 days to get the desired effect but I thought I'd share the difference after one week so far. I have noticed a real difference, particularly in the arches and ends of my eyebrows as these were quite thin. I've also noticed that the fair hairs around my brows have grown a lot more so it's clearly stimulating the hair follicles.

The Brow Enhancer Serum does come in at a hefty price tag (£55), but if you want something that's really going to work I think it's worth paying out for these things as a cheaper brand wouldn't have the desired results.

In case you missed my Swiss Clinic Derma Rolling / Micro Needling Review you can read it here. I've really been impressed by the Swiss Clinic range of products and the eyelash serum is next on my list of things to try so I'll be purchasing that soon!
