Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara

Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara

Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara

I was so excited when I found out about the launch of Urban Decay's Troublemaker mascara last year. The bright packaging immediately caught my eye and the mascara made some bold claims - promising lashes with 13.7 times the volume that can withstand pretty much anything (even sex!)

Troublemaker comes with a £19.50 price tag and is said to volumise and lengthen lashes as it separates, while the custom brush grabs onto lashes and curls as it coats - resulting in thicker, longer and fanned out looking lashes.

So did it work? Well, while I thought the mascara was great..unfortunately it didn't quite live up to my expectations.

Truth be told, since using Benefit They're Real Mascara I've seen it as a bit of a game changer and it has by far become my favourite mascara, so whenever I try another mascara I always end up comparing it to Benefit. I think given the hype around Troublemaker I was expecting BIG things. So while my lashes did look lengthened and separated, they weren't as bold or volumised as I was hoping.

I'l start with the benefits: the mascara really does hold and doesnt't budge, so you don't end up with annoying smears around your eyeline. The comb is also great for separating and defining lashes.

But onto the negatives - it seems more of an everyday mascara and provided more of a natural look than the KAPOW false lash look I was hoping for. Perhaps my expectations were too high.

Although I was pleased with the mascara it didn't really wow me and unfortunately I won't be repurchasing!
