What I Got For Christmas 2017

Merry Christmas! I hope you've all had a lovely and relaxing few days full of food & drink. I'm going to keep this blog post short and sweet as I've got a few posts planned on my reflections on 2017 and all my plans for 2018, but for now I love being nosy and seeing what everyone got for Christmas (if you've done a blog post then please leave me a link!) so I thought I'd share my gifts with you too.

My family don't really go mad on presents and usually give me money so I can buy things for myself, and this year I bought quite a lot in the sales so I have included that below too...

My sister bought me this mini Urban Outfitters letter light box, which will be ideal for Instagram photos and flatlays (she was thinking of the blogger inside me!) I already have a larger version from but I use this purely as a light when I'm reading so love the mini version.

She also got me the Snow Fairy Jelly Bomb and Twilight Bath Bomb from Lush. I adore the Snow Fairy scent and always get something from the range for Christmas (take a look at my Lush Sale haul later too!) and the Twilight range is a lovely lavender scent which is great for relaxing.

I'm becoming a bit of a Pixi addict so my sister also got me the Glow O2 Oxygen Mask, a bubbling face mask, and the Glowtion brightening day cream. I haven't tried either of these so am excited to give them a go!

I love lighting candles in my home so was lucky to receive an Aldi candle (these are amazing Jo Malone dupes and are a bargain at £3.99) and a Body Shop Frosted Berries candle. I didn't actually know the Body Shop did candles so am excited to try that too!

My parents kindly got my sister and I a voucher for a spa day at Macdonald Hotels and some adorable fluffy pyjamas, which I've been living in since boxing day! I also got some little beauty accessories like a tanning mitt and some exfoliating gloves (which, no joke, I get a pair of every year for my birthday and Christmas!) and a fluffy headband for washing my face.

Sale shopping

I usually avoid the sales because I hate going out shopping but yesterday my sister and I went into Basingstoke. First stop was the Lush sale and I was really pleased with everything I got!

There was so much left in sale I was so excited and we spent the majority of our shopping trip in there! I was tempted to pick up some of the gift sets because they work out at such good value.
All the Christmas shower gels were half price so I picked up two bottles of Snow Fairy, Bubbly (which is a fruity orange scent) and Twilight (a relaxing lavender scent). I also got the Christingle and Bucks Fizz body conditioners and Sleepy body lotion, which wasn't in the sale but I couldn't resist!

I also got the Candy Mountain bubble bar and Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb, which both smell similar to Snow Fairy and The Comforter and were 50% off too. Finally I really wanted to try out the Bath Oils, which are small solids that you pop into the bath and they release oil to moisturise the skin. I went for the Melting Marshmallow Bath Oil and Dreamtime Bath Oil (not in the sale but too good to say no!)

Next I got myself this gorgeous underwear set in Ann Summers - the bra was reduced to £10 and the knickers were reduced to £4. In Primark I bought myself a new pair of trainers which were reduced from £14 to £5. I wanted a spare pair to keep in my parents' house so I can go running when I visit and I love these! I also picked up a couple of pairs of new leggings which weren't in the sale but still a great bargain - the pair with red panels really remind me of Sweaty Betty!

I LOVE TK Maxx for beauty bargains and got myself the St Tropez dry facial oil which was just £7 (usually about £22 in store) and a Lipstick Queen set which was reduced to £5! Finally in the Yankee Candle store all their reed diffusers were reduced to £11.99 or were two for £22 so my sister and I got one each - I picked up Midsummer's Night which is a lovely lavender scent and will be ideal for my bedroom!

And that was it! What did you all get for Christmas? Did you pick up any bargains in the sales? If you've done a haul or written up a blog post please share your links in the comments below.
