Create Your Own Beauty Box

For me, the best way to treat myself is with a new beauty product. Beauty boxes in particular have become my latest obsession as they are a great value way of getting to try out lots of different products and it is like a little surprise that pops through the letter box each month.

You’ve probably heard of a lot of the beauty subscription boxes, like Birchbox and Glossybox, but the only downfall of not knowing exactly what you’re receiving each month is that you could not like a lot of the products and be left feeling disappointed. Which is why I love the idea of a create your own subscription box from Latest in Beauty.

I've tried some of Latest in Beauty's special collaboration boxes in the past like the Party Prep Box and have always thought they were great value.

The benefit of the Create Your Own beauty boxes is you can entirely tailor this to you and choose either three, six or nine products, as well as whether you want it to be a one-off purchase or a monthly subscription. A box of nine products costs £25 as one-off or £18 as a monthly subscription - which isn't bad at all!

Latest in Beauty updates it product list regularly so you have plenty of options to choose from, whether its skincare, makeup, body or hair products. They usually come as miniatures or trial sizes.

I was recently invited to trial the service so was very excited to try out some different products as well as stock on some essentials and minis I needed. I went for a one-off Beauty Guru box and I chose:

  • Kiko Velvet Touch Cream Blush Stick
  • The Body Shop Oils Of Life Facial Oil
  • Carmex Original Jar Lip Balm
  • The Library of Fragrance Baby Powder Cologne Spray
  • Eucerin Intensive Lip Balm
  • Omorovicza Refining Facial Polish
  • Living Proof Healthy Hair 5 in 1 Styling Treatment
  • Smith & Cult The Shining Lip Lacquer
  • Illuminous Picture Perfect Primer

I'll be going on holiday in a few weeks time so thought this was the perfect way of getting some miniature products that are different to the usual bits you pick up in Boots. I also wanted to stock up on lip balms as I keep losing mine and needed some spares to keep in my work desk as well as a mini perfume to keep in my handbag. I love that I also got to try out some high end brands like Omorovicza without having to pay up on its expensive price tag!

You also have the option of having your products delivered in a large makeup bag for an additional £8.

So if you want to treat yourself, or get someone a personalised a gift, take a look at Latest in Beauty's product selection!
