La Mer Glossybox

When I saw that Glossybox were doing a collaboration with La Mer I knew I had to get my hands on one. I’ve always walked past the luxury brand in department stores and thought how lavish it looked but knew I never could afford to get anything from there myself!

A few months ago while passing through duty free in Toronto airport on a connecting flight home from Cuba, looking very dishevelled, sleep deprived and possibly a little smelly too, I couldn’t resist browsing the La Mer counter and slapping ALL the products onto my face in an attempt to feel a little more human. My travelled body may have looked a little worse for wear, but my face felt a million dollars.

The La Mer Glossybox went on sale on 20th February and I had signed up to the pre-sale so I could get hold of one at 9am. Three days later I heard the postman knock my door while I was still fast asleep but I ran downstairs so I didn’t miss the delivery!

Inside the beautiful box were six samples of La Mer’s cult favourite products as well as some new ones including The Cleansing Micellar Water  – 30ml, The Treatment Lotion – 5ml, The Eye Concentrate – 3ml, The Revitalizing  Hydrating Serum – 5ml, The Moisturizing Cream – 7ml, The Intensive Revitalizing  Mask – 15ml.

The samples may be small but I thought this was the closest I’ll ever get to using La Mer so I wanted to give it a go! The largest sample is the Micellar Water, which is the newest addition to the La Mer range. It has a light and fresh cooling formula to sweep away makeup and leave skin hydrated.
The Treatment Lotion is also a new addition; described as ‘liquid energy’ for the skin it helps to wakeup and prep the skin before adding serum or moisturiser.

La Mer’s latest serum, which launched in January, is also included. Just a couple of drops will help the skin to retain moisture for a smoother, softer and healthier looking complexion.
Of course the coveted Crème de la Mer moisturiser is also included. This iconic pot is the definition of a cult product. It claims to be able to transform skin by immersing it with moisture and radiance – I can’t wait to give it a try.

Finally the two other products included are the Intensive Revitalising Mask, which detoxes skin, and the Eye Concentrate which protects the delicate skin around the eyes to prevent signs of ageing. I recently went on a spa day with my mum and was told to start using an eye cream so I have no doubt this will kick start my anti-ageing process!

The box cost £40 (£35 for current Glossybos subscribers) and the contents are worth up to £118.
