A large lip product haul!

Something slightly mad happened to me at the weekend when I had been inside cleaning my flat for four hours and decided it was time to go out and get some air. Before I knew it I was in Superdrug and both hands were covered in swatches of pink lipsticks and lipliners. Armed with about 10 different products in my hands I couldn't decide which ones to buy (and realised it was probably time to leave as I had spent far too long in the makeup section..) so I just bought them all! There were some great offers on so I've picked up a whole range of pink day and night lippies to see me through the seasons...

Lipliners (top to bottom): L'Oreal Color Riche in 302 Bois de Rose and 258 Berry Blush (£3.99 each), Maybelline Color Sensational in 132 Sweet Pink and 140 Intense Pink (£3.99 each)

Lipsticks: L'Oreal Color Riche in 256 Blush Fever and 632 Greige Amoureux (£6.99 each). I tried to match these lipstick shades to the liners I had bought and opted for a soft, nude pink for daywear and a darker pink for evenings. They are both matte but very soft and velvety.

Lipsticks: Maybelline Color Drama Lip Pencil in 140 Minimalist (Top. £4.99) and Maybelline Color Sensational in 157 More to Adore (Bottom. £6.99)

I have bought the Color Drama pencil before and this shade is one of my all time favourite nude pinks!  This is a very intense, velvet lip crayon and comes out completely matte. It is great value and a cheap alternative to MAC nude lipsticks.

I spotted this Color Sensational shade in a different area and was set up in a promotional stand for Maybelline's contouring range. This particular shade is part of Maybelline's Blushed Nudes range but it is such a sweet baby pink I think it will be perfect for summer nights! Unlike the Color Drama crayon it is a lot more creamy and moisturising,

When I bought these products it was 3 for 2 on L'Oreal and Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price on Maybelline - so it's worth popping down to Superdrug and checking them out!

A Benefit Gimme Brow Dupe?...Make Up Academy (MUA) Brow Define Review

When it comes to my eyebrows I am extremely low maintenance. I get them waxed once every blue moon and know absolutely zilch about shaping them and filling them in. BUT my brows are incredibly light and usually disappear under a layer of foundation or bronzer when I do my makeup every morning, so I rely on one bargain product to make them look existent again. Make Up Academy (MUA) brow define is a tinted mascara created specifically for eyebrows.

It comes in three shades (fair, medium and dark) and is designed to naturally enhance your own natural colour and shape, without clumping or flaking. It has a small mascara-style wand which is larger at one end to allow for precision application.

What initially drew me to this was the fact it was only £2! Then each morning after completing my face makeup I would do a quick slick over each eyebrow and voila - done! No faffing around drawing over each eyebrow or needing to build up certain areas, it was so quick and easy to apply and does not dry out or go sticky on your brows.

Although my eyebrows are quite light I found the lightest shade didn't bring them out as much as I had hoped so I re-purchased it in mid-brown (see below) and this works a lot better at adding a tint of colour.

While I saw rave reviews of Benefit's Gimme Brow when it first launched (which costs £18.50) I think this a much cheaper option.

Make Up Academy Brow Define Mascara costs £2 and is available from Superdrug. Have you tried it before? What are your favourite brow products?

Campo Viejo's Summer of Colour

Campo Viejo Summer of Colour

Campo Viejo Summer of Colour

Wine and tapas are probably two of my favourite things in life. So when the two were put together in the form of a floating pop-up bar in Clapham Common, of course I had to check it out!

Spanish wine makers Campo Viejo have transformed Clapham Common's Mount Pond into their very own Lake of Colour this week, where you can enjoy a glass of the winery's latest blend, live music and some delicious nibbles! It's completely free to come along and doors open at 4pm on Friday (10th June) and 12pm Saturday and Sunday (11th and 12th June).

For the wine connoisseurs among you, they are also running wine blending masterclasses where you can create your own red wine blend. These sessions cost £15.

I popped along to a preview night this week and, typically, it rained all afternoon! But luckily when it was time to leave my desk and head down to the event the sun finally made an appearance and it turned out to be a beautiful evening.

Then it was time to get technical. We were sat down on benches and presented with three different blends of grape, then experimented with mixing them together to create our very own flavours of wine!

Pop ups are..ahem..popping up all over London at the moment but, living in South London I often don't have time to make the trips out at the weekend so I was so happy when this opened in Clapham! If you are stuck for something to do this weekend and the nice weather holds out *fingers crossed*, I would definitely recommend visiting Campo Viejo's Lake of Colour!

A Sculpted Makeover with Rodial

As a blogger I've seen hundreds of good reviews about Rodial's skincare range, but didn't know much about their makeup range. So when Rodial invited me along to a sculpting masterclass and makeover at Harvey Nichols I was very excited!

I'm quite boring when it comes to makeup (despite the fact my makeup bag is bursting at the seams) and usually go for the same look everyday - and that look does not involve contouring! Despite all the tutorials I've seen with women dotting different shades of concealer, highlighter and bronzer all over their face I just never got the hang of contouring and steered clear of it, assuming my face just wasn't a contourable one.

When I arrived at Harvey Nichols I immediately noticed that all the women on the Rodial counter had AMAZING makeup. They all looked effortlessly beautiful but were sculpted and defined to perfection. This was definitely a good start and I couldn't wait to discover their tips and tricks.

Firstly my skin was prepped with the Dragon's Blood cleansing water and tonic spray, followed by the new Stem Cell Magic Gel moisturiser. This is a multi-use hydrator which makes your skin look completely refreshed and gives you a dewy glow.

Then it was makeup time! I tried the new Airbrush foundation and was seriously impressed at how full the coverage was. Then my cheeks were sculpted with the Instaglam Deluxe Contouring Powder, a matte bronzer for the cheekbones. Finally I was introduced to the new Banana Powder -  a yellow toned powder which corrects redness and pink undertones and neutralises blue under eye circles. It can also be used to set make-up or as a highlighting powder to contour. This worked magic on the dark circles under my eyes!

I was so impressed with the entire makeup range and fell in love with all the products! Sadly I didn't have any plans for after my makeover to go and show off the finished look so I just sat on the tube home feeling very glam....
