Pale people rejoice! Every foundation shade you try too dark for you? The Body Shop has the solution. They recently launched these shade adjusting drops to help create the perfect foundation for you!
If you have light or medium skin some foundations can look too orange. These drops are made from a concentration of white and pink pigments to neutralise yellowness while lightening. One drop will turn your foundation half a shade lighter, so you can slowly adjust it.
I was so excited to give these a try as I recently bought myself a new foundation and was gutted that it was too dark for me, so instead of paying out for a new foundation I wondered if these would do the trick. Here's how I got on....

The liquid is thicker than I imagined and comes out very slowly from the pipette. This may be a good thing as it means you don't use too much at once and means you can control the lightening - but as my foundation was particularly dark I needed to use quite a few drops and found I had to dip the pipette back in to the bottle each time to get another drop of liquid out. That being said, it has a very light consistency and didn't feel thick or pasty when I mixed it with my foundation.
As you can see it mixed in with perfectly with my foundation and took it about three shades lighter! Being pale I often find I need a variety of different foundations as I sometimes have days when I'm paler than normal, and have other days when I like to wear fake tan! This means that I can just stick to one foundation and don't need to splurge on different ones.
As well as the lightening drops The Body Shop also do darkening drops, if your foundation is too pale for you! At £10 each for 15ml I think they are a great purchase as most high end foundations will cost at least double. Plus a little goes a long way!
