OOTD Miss Pap floral co-ordinates.

Today I took a trip to the National Trust Polesden Lacey gardens and had a wonderful afternoon sat in the sunshine and admiring the flowers! I wore my new floral two-piece set from Miss Pap. I'd never actually heard of their website until I saw it featured in a blog post on Scarphelia ETC and after having a browse I fell in love with some of their clothes! It is very similar to Fashion Union and Miss Guided so anyone that shops there will be a fan! I also picked up some great summer dresses from the website too.

Crop top -  Miss Pap £14.99
Shorts - Miss Pap £15.99

I'm loving co-ordinates at the moment and have seen so many great ones online but have only just got round to finally buying some! This set cost just over £30 and I teamed it with some New Look sandals, a canvas bag that I picked up at a uni freshers' fair and a straw hat that I bought on holiday in Greece a few years back!

Have you bought anything from Miss Pap? Which coordinate sets are you loving at the moment?

What's in my suitcase?

Gandy's flip flops, Caprice & Primark bikinis, Kalme day defence , Sun Mousse, Boots travel pillow & insect repellent
In about three weeks time I will be jetting off to Turkey and although it's a while away the excitement is starting to mount! Recently I've been getting organised and started to prepare a few of the essentials I will need and thought I would share them with you.

First of is my pair of Gandy's flip flops. Gandy's was set up by two brothers whose parents were killed in the Boxing Day tsunami. They founded the brand in the aim of setting up an orphanage in India and money from every sale of a pair of flip flops is donated towards the Gandy's foundation. The brand has recently launched new collections with Accessorize (which is where my pair are from) and Liberty too.

I have bought A LOT of new bikinis for my holiday so these two are just a snipped of the ones I own! The red triangle top is from the By Caprice swimwear range and the pink aztec top was a bargain from Primark!

My flights are going to be overnight so I will be packing the Boots inflatable travel pillow in my hand luggage so I can get some shut eye. Once I get out there I will also be using Sun Mousse SPF to protect my sun and Boots insect repellent to keep the bugs away! I chose this particular lotion as you don't need to reapply it.

I hate wearing suncream on my face as it can be quite greasy and cause spots, especially in the heat! So I will be using  KALME Day Defence cream with SPF 25. I use this as a moisturiser as well as a sun cream and it helps to defend the skin from redness so I often wear it to the gym to avoid getting too red during a class!

Is anyone else going away somewhere nice this year? What are your travel essentials?

My 22nd Birthday!

This post is long overdue as my birthday was nearly a month ago now (whoops!) but I have been very busy, soo... On May 8 I celebrated my 22nd birthday!

I had an extremely busy week, which mainly consisted of eating, as my boyfriend turned 21 in the same week! So our birthday week started with a trip to London where we were tourists for the day, visited the Natural History Museum and I had my first ever experience of Boris biking - which was actually quite scary! I had a family meal on my birthday then the following weekend I had a meal with my friends at Cau in Guildford, which does the most delicious steaks! I got some lovely gifts including a new handbag, some makeup and a Pandora birthstone ring, which I'm holding in the top left photo!

All in all I had a pretty great day and am now starting to feel slightly old!

Battle of the bases: My favourite foundations

I am still yet to find my 'holy grail' foundation and have bought possibly every foundation under the sun in the hunt to find my favourite. I have about seven different foundations on the go at the moment but I am determined to save money and use them all up before I buy another. Here a few of my favourites that I have been using recently..

Max Factor Whipped Creme Foundation - For anyone who thinks this is similar to Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse, it's not! It is a cream, not a mousse, so it gives a natural, 'demi-matte' finish and doesn't look cakey at all. Coverage wise it isn't too heavy so it's good for those that prefer more of a natural look. I sometimes like to go for something with more coverage so have to use concealer on top of this to hide any blemishes and under-eye bags.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15 - This is another light foundation that gives more of a natural look but I like to use it when my skin is a bit dry and dreary and is it nice and moisturising. For anyone looking for a day to day foundation this is perfect.

Sleek CC Cream -   Despite only being a CC Cream this is quite thick and also has really good coverage so it works well as a foundation too. It is slightly darker so I don't need to use bronzer with it and it makes my skin look really healthy

MAC Studio Fix Fluid - I'm sure everyone knows about this foundation by now! Unfortunately I picked it up in the wrong shade so it's slightly dark for me but I sometimes mix this with a lighter foundation. As it is so expensive and quite heavy on the skin I only use it on special occassions and prefer to use it in the summer when I have a bit more of a tan.

Bare Minerals Original Foundation - If you haven't tried Bare Minerals makeup yet I recommend you do! Mineral makeup is so good for your skin and doesn't clog your pores at all. It is so easy to build up coverage with it and I love how healthy it makes my skin look. If I'm having a bad skin day and can't bare to be seen without makeup this is always my go to product!

Recent Purchases!

Soo I've been a bit naughty and done lots of shopping recently, but I think I can now say I am fully stocked up on skincare and fake tan and won't need to go to shops again for a while. I thought I would share a few of my recent purchases with you all...

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Soothing Gel Cream Wash - I am yet to try anything from the Skin Perfection range and have been suffering from sensitive skin recently so thought this would be ideal.
La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water - This normally costs £8 but I got it on sale at Boots for £3. This is a spray that is used to treat sensitive skin and helps to soothe irritated skin.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - This is my new favourite make up remover. There has been a lot of hype about it on beauty blogs recently and I can see why! It is so effective at removing makeup from my skin without leaving any residue and is super gentle at the same time.
Garnier Moisture Match moisturiser in 'Normal to Dry skin' - These moisturisers have received mixed reviews on a lot of beauty blogs. I bought this one and the gel formula one too, which is for dull skin, and have to say I am a fan of it. It leaves my skin really soft and doesn't feel greasy at all.

Next, on to the fake tan! I am pretty obsessed with fake tan and love trying different brands so I recently bought the Xen-Tan Deep Bronze Luxe and the Xen-Tan Face Tanner Luxe too. I tried out the Deep Bronze Luxe a while ago and loved it so had to repurchase it, it is so moisturising and leaves you with an olive-tinted tan. I bought the face tanner separately as I find fake tan fades so much quicker from my face than my body (anyone else have this problem?!). Lastly I got myself the Vita Liberata Luxury 2-3 Week Tan Lotion. The thing that drew me to this was the fact is lasts so long! I am a pretty lazy tanner and can never be bothered to reapply it so long lasting ones are ideal for me.

Today I picked up the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and Miracle Complexion Sponge from Superdrug because my foundation sponges have got so grubby I thought it would be best to chuck them and invest in something decent rather than attempt to wash them! I bought a dupe of the Real Techniques brush off Ebay a while ago (see my post here) but I thought I would see how the real thing compares to it!
