About the product...
Ginvera's BB Cream comes from Singapore, one of the first nations to adopt the BB phenomenon. It is enriched with Green Tea and Ginseng (both great natural anti-ageing ingredients) and also contains SPF 30. It also helps to reduce the formation of wrinkles and fine lines.
I've never been completely blown over or wowed by BB creams. The only one I've bought is the Garnier BB Cream and I've tried some sample sachets of others but I prefer to wear foundation with a fuller coverage as I have a lot of blemishes on my cheeks and BB Cream never covers them. I also dislike how a lot of BB Creams have this 'one shade suits all' idea as most BB Creams are either too pale or way too orange for me. The Ginvera BB Cream also only comes in one shade and says it is suitable for all skin types so I was a bit worried about that. However I love that it is made with natural ingredients and I've heard a lot about the benefits of Green Tea so I knew this product would be good for my skin!
Despite my sceptical first impressions I was very impressed with the colour and texture of the BB Cream, it matched my skin tone and felt so smooth and luxurious on. It didn't feel thick like some BB Creams that have fuller coverage, it was a very fine fluid that came out of the tube easily and felt just like a moisturiser when I was putting it on. It provides medium coverage without feeling greasy or cakey - it actually felt like I didn't have any makeup on when I was wearing it!

This photo is after I first applied it to my face. It evened out my skin tone nicely and covered up some of my smaller blemishes but the spots on my cheeks were still quite noticeable

The finished result! After applying a little blusher, mascara, eyeliner, and powder. I am very impressed with this BB Cream and will definitely be using it more often. My skin feels really soft and healthy, and looks illuminated too. It'll be great to wear on it's own for when I can't face a no make up day, or in the summer when the weather warms up and I don't like to wear foundation.
The Ginvera Nude Cover BB Cream costs £18 for a 25ml tube or £26 for 40ml. It is available online here.
