First Christmas presents & some new clothes!

Originally I wasn't planning on doing any Christmas shopping while I was in Nottingham as I thought I was going to get the train home for Christmas and wouldn't have much room. But as my parents are now going to pick me up I thought I'd take advantage of some of the shops we have here and do a bit of shopping!

My friend Leona showed me this cute trinket shop called The TokenHouse which I never would have known was there otherwise! It has loads of gifts there, I came across this chicken peg (£3.25) and couldn't leave without it - we have pet chickens at home and my Mum absolutely loves them. Whenever I see something with chickens on I always have to get it for her. I bought her a little china chicken in Croatia when I was travelling in the summer and was trying so hard to protect it on the way home.

I only discovered Sanctuary skincare last year and adore it! The Sanctuary range makes a luxurious gift for anyone and although it's pricey I think the quality is definitely worth it. I bought the Deep Cleanse Facial In-a-Box (£16) from Boots for my sister. It contains Fresh Faced Purifying Wash, Exfoliating Pore Refiner, 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask, Blemish Serum and Matte Perfecting Hydra Lotion. This gift set is suitable for people with oily or blemish prone skin, Sanctuary also does the Skin Brightening Facial In-a-Box for normal skin and Youth Boosting Facial In-a-Box for dry & ageing skin.
Also from Sanctuary I bought the Weekend Indulgence Wash Bag (£13.50). At the moment I'm undecided whether to give the whole thing to my Mum or split the contents up and use them as stocking fillers for different family members. The set contains body wash (full size), foaming bath soak (mini), body scrub (full size), body lotion (mini) and a loofah (or body polisher as it's known in the description!) The wash bag is really big as well - I find some gift sets come in tiny bags that you can't really do much with and end up throwing away, but this will be great for storage.

As well as buying for other people I also treated myself to some new clothes (whoopsie!)..

Denim shorts - MissGuided £19.99

Cropped shirt - Motel Vintage £25

Checked shirt - £26.99 Hearts and Bows at ARK

I love these MissGuided shorts. I bought a similar pair from Topshop last year but they are extremely bum skimming! I like that this pair will take me through to summer as well because I'll be able to wear them bare legged and without fear of my bum hanging out.

I was a bit undecided about the white shirt because it is cropped - and I mean very cropped - and I'm not one for getting my belly button out. With a skirt or high waisted shorts it looks fine though. It's also quite sheer so I may end up wearing a vest underneath. I do love the collar though. I see a lot of people teaming Peter Pan collars with chunky necklaces or peeking out under  a chunky jumper and I have the perfect necklace to wear with it.

I've been on the hunt for a baggy checked shirt for so long and love this ARK one! It has a really nice fit as it's quite slouchy and a flannel material. I never usually think to shop at ARK but it sells some really nice stuff - very MissGuided-esque without the delivery charge and waiting for it to arrive.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Like me do you end up buying for yourself?
